NU S SOL B
Introduction: Nu S Sol B is a biological fertilizer based on a selected strain of naturally-occurring beneficial autotrophic, acidophilic bacteria Thiobacillus thioxidans (NCIM 5069). Thiobacillus thioxidans is a gram negative, rod shaped, non spore forming bacteria. It is used as an effective soil inoculant.
Nu S Sol B contains vegetative cells of Thiobacillus thioxidans. It is formulated as carrier based powder with a potency of 1X and liquid with a potency of 2X, 5X and 10 X. Nu S Sol B is approved for use in Organic Farming.
Mode of Action:
The bacteria require inorganic molecules as an electron donor and inorganic carbon (such as carbon dioxide) as a source. They obtain nutrients by oxidizing iron and sulfur with O2. Thiobacillus thioxidans grows at pH values of 4.5 to 1.3 in basal salt medium and derives its biosynthetic requirements by autotrophy i.e., it used carbon from atmospheric carbon dioxide. It also fixes Nitrogen in acidophilic habitats. The bacteria derive its metabolic energy by oxidation of reduced inorganic sulfur compounds or ferrous ions. Anaerobic growth happens by using elemental hydrogen or reduced inorganic sulfur compounds as electron donors and ferric ions as electron acceptors.Enzyme production:
Thiobacillus thioxidans oxidizes sulphur and secretes organic acids like sulphuric acid, malic acid which helps mobilize the fixed sulphur and makes it available to the plants. This also brings down the pH of the soil and helps in reclaiming alkaline oilsTarget Nutrition:

Cereals, Millets, Pulses, Oilseeds, Fiber Crops, Sugar Crops, Forage Crops, Plantation crops, Vegetables, Fruits, Spices, Flowers, Medicinal crops, Aromatic Crops, Orchards and Ornamentals. Mode of application: Seedling treatment:
Mix 100 g Nu S Sol B with sufficient quantity of water and organic manure to form slurry. The seedlings are dipped in this slurry for 30 minutes prior to planting so that the bacteria get attached to the roots.Soil application:
Mix 3-5 Kg/ acre of Nu S Sol B with compost and apply to an acre of soil.Drip Irrigation:
Mix 3 Kg/ acre of Nu S Sol B in drip stream
Nu S Sol B is stable for a period of 12 months from the date of manufacturing.
